ABSTRACT |
A 46-year-old female was referred for GB mass and IHD dilatation. There was no abdominal pain in the patient’s examination, and there was no specific finding other than jaundice. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) performed on the day after admission showed stenosis of the proximal bile duct and biopsy was performed and a biliary stent was inserted. Abdominal ultrasound and abdominal computed tomography showed that the gallbladder wall was thickened diffusely and the gallbladder wall structure was maintained, suggesting the possibility of xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis rather than gallbladder cancer. |
