ABSTRACT

Primary liver tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma or intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma presenting as liver abscess are extremely uncommon. And it is a rare, but critical challenge to clinicians. Here, we present a case of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma who was treated as a liver abscess 5 years ago. And a mass-forming type of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma was diagnosed at the same site by liver biopsy.
